Just getting into black powder cartridge shooting after sometime as a muzzleloader.
A rifle has come up I am looking at purchasing, but have a few questions first.
Its a Pedersoli Sharps 1874 Infantry model, serial number SH1692.
This appears to be a very early gun going on new rifle serial numbers, would there be any issued with quality on earlier Pedersoli's?
The gun is absolutely as new and in 45/70.
Is the infantry model considered as accurate as the others? I thought perhaps the extra wood and bands might throw some variables into things.
Any other advice would be appreciated,
Thanks,
